Many people confuse liberal theology with liberal politics. They are not the same. I will say that most of the liberal Christians I have meet, also were liberals politically. So that we understand, when I speak of liberals in this article, I am talking about liberal theologians. When you think of a theologian, you think of someone that reveres the bible. That does not fit the liberal mindset. The Bible is considered to be a bunch of stories and myths by the liberal. 

   Modern Theological Liberalism got its start in the early to mid 1800's in Tubingen, Germany. Its goal has been to rid the Bible of the miraculous. The liberal theologian says the miracles in the bible performed by Jesus and Moses did not happen. They do not believe that Jesus was resurrected or that He was God incarnate.

   The Jesus Seminar at the Westar Institute are the leaders in the liberal theology movement. That is why many of the articles deal with that group.
